The UK Department for International Development set Smart Live a brief to organise the first ever Global Disability Summit in London, hosted at Here East in 2018.

The two-day summit saw 2,000 guests flown in from all corners of the globe. Smart Live designed event solutions to consider persons with varying types and levels of disabilities, many of whom had never been to the UK before. We created a multi-room layout to enable an action packed agenda across the two days, and organised elements such as wheelchair accessible staging, braille and text to sign language translating. It was a ground breaking event that brought together an international audience to help create real change across the world and we felt privileged to be part of making this happen.
